Coming home from work last night along Burstall Road spotted a weasel which had dashed into the road and then turned beat a hasty retreat back to the verge. Fabulous to catch a glimpse of this beautiful and agile creature.

Finally saw just a few swallows and a solitary swift over the fields by Burstall Lane. Seem to be far fewer than past years.
Still haven't heard a cuckoo, there's usually one around the Fishery but so far not this year.
There's also a nightingale at the top end of Chantry Park near the blackberry bushes in the wood.

Cuckoo and Nightingales heard in Hintlesham Wood on May 4th.
None heard in Burstall so far.
Has anyone seen Swallows in the village?
They have always nested here but none have returned this year .
I did see one House Martin recently so they are back for the summer.
Bull Finches, Blackcaps and Whitethroats are about in our garden along with lots of baby birds.
