This afternoon in sweltering sunshine I saw 15 Meadow Brown Butterflies, 5 Small Skippers,6 Ringlets together with lots of different Bumblebees. (All these butterflies depend on grasses to breed and lay their eggs.)There are Bee Orchids and a single Pyramidal Orchid in flower. Lady's Bedstraw and Hedge Bedstraw bloom alongside red and white clover, Ox-eye Daisies and Scabious. It is a wonderful sight so if you are passing do go and have a look. Leaving this patch of wild grasses and flowers has been so worthwhile, the results speak for themselves.  AB 22/6/17
